Biblical Counseling Program (P901)
Students in this program will be provided with counseling tools. Embrace the call to help bring safety to others.
Develop basic practical skills in ministering God’s word to people. These basic skills include careful listening, helping people open up, conveying compassion, grace, and mercy, and guiding constructive ministry conversations.
Develop more advanced skills in ministering God’s word to people. These more advanced skills include responding patiently to difficult ministry conversations, discerning counseling problems from within a biblical worldview, helping people understand and apply the gospel of Jesus Christ in daily life, and more.
Grow in Christian maturity as a minister of the gospel. That is, learn to be humble, repentant, and dependent upon the Holy Spirit in heart and life while ministering to others.
​Broaden your general knowledge of Scripture as it relates to life and struggles while also broadening strategic and careful application of the Scripture to specific people and their situations. Learn how to depend on the Holy Spirit during the process of change.

  1. Upon completion, students should possess aptitude in ministry to self and others. 
  2. Students will examine scripture and parallel themes with today’s culture Spiritual Enrichment
  3. Eye opening revelation into the text of familiar passages of scripture
  4. Students will grow in their knowledge of the Lord!

  • Program Requirements:
  1. Biblical Life Foundations Unit, Professional Leadership Unit, Advanced Communication, Bible Doctrines, Social Work Insights, Basic Counseling Unit, The Biblical Counselor Advanced Seminar, Children/Youth, Family, Grief, Life Coaching, World Religions, Quality of Life Seminar, 8 short quiz/exams. In addition, students are required to submit a final research paper, please review instructions on our website.
2, The Student Workbook which includes community service projects, various writing assignments, resources and more! This workbook is mailed towards the end of the year unless you are exempt from it. (If you did not receive one by March 15th, it is not required for you.)

3. General Session Lectures include various topics covered during live in person sessions, or zoom virtual lessons.
OPTIONAL: Personal Growth Electives include any additional course/topic the student is interested in studying to enhance their own educational journey. We do have a catalog of available courses for review or study.


This program is available for the Bachelor, Masters or Doctoral level. Students can add the certification with or without completing a degree program.

Students completing the degree portion must review the quality-of-life seminar and the advocacy seminar to qualify for certification. In addition there will be a zoom clinic in May of 2025 for all social work, community ministry, and biblical counseling students in Master/Doctoral Programs.
